In a landmark moment for citizen journalism, four newspapers plan to syndicate bloggers’ content on their own sites through a new program called Blogburst.
BlogBurst is a service that takes topical content from pre-approved blogs and provides it to publishers (online newspapers, etc.) for republication. BlogBurst editors choose the best content from those blogs for republication.
The newspapers include the Washington Post, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and the San Francisco Chronicle. The network, operated by Pluck, is seeking bloggers who write about travel, women’s issues, technology/gadgets, food/entertainment and local metros.
