Media Watchdog: Special Interests Keep Fake News On Air Through VNRs

The Center for Media and Democracy today released its latest report on TV news programs’ use of corporate-sponsored video news releases–promotional segments designed to look like objective news reports that disguise their true source from viewers. Although the FCC is investigating 77 stations, many major-market stations continue to use VNRs and blatantly delete corporate disclosures to viewers. – Read the whole story
