FCC Releases Media Ownership Studies, Martin Denies Their Existence

Just prior to the rowdy New Year’s weekend, the Federal Communications Commission quietly released 88 studies and documents pertaining to media consolidation and ownership, dating back to 2002. The controversy surrounds a 2004 study about local TV and media consolidation. Both current FCC Chairman Kevin Martin and his predecessor, Michael Powell, deny any prior knowledge.
